Bellafill® is a semi-permanent wrinkle filler that gives you natural results that you will love. It contains microspheres of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), a glass-like substance commonly used in medicine, and is in a carrier of bovine (cow source) collagen matrix. The collagen allows for the body to anchor the tiny spheres and produce its own collagen. Depending on the degree of correction needed, some patients may need more than one treatment. Because bovine collagen is used as a carrier for the microspheres, a skin test is needed at least four weeks prior to the placement of Bellafill® to make sure you don’t have an allergy to cow source protein.
