What Are Restylane® Refyne and Defyne?
Restylane® Refyne and Defyne are Galderma’s newest hyaluronic acid filler options, FDA-approved to smooth smile and laugh lines. These fillers are created using XpresHan Technology to create a flexible gel consistency for natural-looking results. Restylane® Refyne is approved for treatment of mild to moderate facial wrinkles and nasolabial folds, while Restylane® Defyne is approved to treat mild to moderate folds and lines. Treatment can take anywhere from 20 minutes to one hour, depending on desired results.
Results
Following treatment, patients can experience smooth, more youthful-looking skin. Side-effects include mild redness and swelling, which should resolve quickly. Both of these fillers offer long-term results, with effects lasting up to 12 months. Most patients only require a touch-up session once a year to maintain results.
